Design and Illustrate posters to promote club night events at various venues around Glasgow.
"We Should Hang Out More" is a club night conceived around the habit that we all have at some point or another - Telling friends that we should meet up again soon, only for this to materialise weeks, sometimes months later. WSHOM was intended as a club night which served as regular meet-up point to counter this ever-increasing social issue.
Meeting up with friends to dance to good music was the mission, and WSHOM wanted a poster that both stood out from the rest and conveyed the theme of catching up with friends.
SOLUTION

It was established early on in the design process that the promotional material for WSHOM should be more illustrated than your average club night poster. This, coupled with the theme of meeting up with friends led to the idea of having two characters at the forefront, locking hands in a triumphant gesture that formed the 'W' of the night's namesake.
This remained consistent during the run of club nights, aside from the 1 year anniversary, in which a competition was launched on social media, where regular attendees could submit their own selfies, with the prizes included featuring on the poster for the night. This encouraged social media engagement and reinforced the community mantra of WSHOM.
RESULT

The result was an eye-catching ranged of posters that firmly established 'We Should Hang Out More's presence on the Glasgow club night scene, giving them a unique image and identity, with many attendees requesting posters as souvenirs after the night was over.
WSHOM went for a retro 80's theme, with bright pinks and blues against a dark background.
This poster included the founders of WSHOM, along with DJ Mighty Mouse.
A Halloween theme saw the two main WSHOM figures morphed into ghoulish alternates.
