BRIEF
01
Design a poster for The Shed's 25th anniversary event.
The Shed has been an integral part of the Glasgow nightlife scene since it opened back in 1998, and to mark the venue's 25th anniversary, The Shed launched a night named 'The Shed 98.' This event would be exclusively an over 30's night, with old school music and a welcome trip down memory lane for older veterans of the club.
The Shed was looking for a poster that captured the essence of past times with a loud 90's vibe and conveyed themes of celebration. They also requested that their iconic building be somehow incorporated into the design.
SOLUTION
02
We decided to approach the poster by incorporating visuals reminiscent of the iconic 'Now That's What I Call Music' album covers, imagery that most people can immediately recognise and associate with a specific time period in music. We collaborated with The Rabbit In Red, who constructed a 3D model of the building, which we could then position as needed and use as a backdrop for the graphic.
RESULT
03
The result was a poster that perfectly encapsulated the theme of the event, and provided The Shed with branding that is still being used to promote the Over 30's theme through repeated nights.

We started by taking numerous reference shots and sending them to The Rabbit in Red to build a 3D model of the venue.

With the 3D model completed, it was positioned and rendered for use in the final design.

The logo itself was created fully in a vector format so it could be isolated and used for large scale promotion with ease.

The final poster combining both the 2D and 3D elements.

Additional promotional assets were produced for use on socials.
