BRIEF
01
Design a new logo, mascot and van wrap for Albo Group.
Albo Group wanted a friendly face along with a retro-themed logo which could then be incorporated into a wrap design for their plumbing services. They were looking for an art style reminiscent of 1950's Americana, to produce imagery that is both appealing and memorable. They wanted a mascot which provided an easy visual identifier as to what services they provided, which could be isolated and used in other parts of their marketing, such as on their Socials and corporate clothing.
SOLUTION
02
We started by looking at some illustrative examples from the fifties, in particular those used in branding of the time. We then drew up some sketches of possible mascots and ran them by the client, who gave feedback which we took on board and adjusted elements accordingly.
With the character design in place, it was then redrawn as a vector illustration. We then took this colour palette and let it influence the rest of the design elements.
RESULT
03
The result was an eye-catching look, that is both modern but yet captures the essence of Fifties' Americana.

The design process in the development of Albo's mascot, 'Drippy'

The vehicle wrap was first created in a 2D template.

With the design complete, 3D mock-ups were created to give the client a better idea of the final result.

The design elements seamlessly continue around the vehicle rear.

During the design process, we provided multiple options as to how their vehicle could look.

Once the project was complete, we provided brand guidelines for the client for reference in future projects.
